About the White Hart Cranleigh
Built in 1862 by the Victorians, the White hart was created to speculate on the Cranleigh railway line extending into Ewhurst. Originally a coaching inn many of the original features remain intact including a dumb waiter that was discovered during recent renovation works. Now a lively local pub and eatery we hope to have successfully merged the old with the new.
Whether you are looking for a table for two in our restaurant or booking us out for a private event we offer catering packages to suit everyone. Weddings, parties, christenings, wakes and meetings or conferences can all be accommodated in both our bar and restaurant at a great price, with a dedicated staff member to help you with any organisation you require.
The bar at the White hart has all the feel of a traditional English pub with a collection of areas to suit all tastes. To one side a dedicated sports bar with 60" flat screen showing BT sport and terrestrial channels and hosting a full size pool table, darts board and billiards table.
The white hart boasts a lovely outside area through the bifolding doors in the saloon bar. It has a small built pond with fountain containing some interesting fish.
The outside area is a warm, sunny place to sit in the summer and is colourfully lit up in the evenings. Due to the close proximity of the neighbours this area closes at 10pm every evening.
